Absolutely, you dont have to already think you can sing to enjoy singing in community, its all about getting stuck in and having a go.

For the Island Folk, its best to email me and see if there are currently spaces, for Gloucester you can just turn up any week and we will welcome you with big smiles. If you want to email me with questions and to let me know to expect you thats great too.

I focus on building confidence in my singers through teaching everything by ear and through some voice development. We work on resonance and building vocal strength and whole choir blending to help everyone get the most out of the choir. We also engage in some very simple and accessible improvisation techniques.

I alsmost always work with a sliding scale, recognising the baffling economic disparity of our times. I also work on the basis of no one turned away for lack of funds, so if the costs are prohibitive for you please get in touch and I’ll make it work.

Singing is an uplifting activity and I strive to be playful and light in my teaching, I believe in the natural musicality of humans and I am incredibly encouraging. You will find new friends, you will develop your voice and you will have fun doing so.
